HIS IS the Glasgow Klltle Band at one of thelr rehearsals which are held each Tuesday and Thursday mornmgs at elght oclock and Monday and Wednesday evenmgs The band has played for many occasions durmg the current school term l..ast fall a 500 mlle booster trlp was made east to Culbertson north to Plentywood and Ophelm and west to Malta They played for the Farmers Union convention and all home football and basket ball games The program for the concert of Aprll I9 IS as follows Reve Angellque by Rubenstein Barber of Sevllle by Rosslm Norweglan Rhapsody bv Chrlstxanson Ballet Egyptian by Lulgml esu oy of Man s DCSIflUg by Bach Pomp and Cxrcumstance by Elgar A march was played as an encore for each plece There have been over flfty new members added to the band this year and Mr Lee plans to add more for next year 27 I v . . n -v y . . . 4. . u . THE TOREADORS 'lx The flrst all High School operetta presented since 1927 thrilled local audiences on last March 8 This operetta The Toreadors was directed by Mr Leonard Brunette the vocal director of the school A Spanlsh theme was carried out with colorful costumes and gay pageantry The principal characters were LaVere Tippetts as Senor Dlctorlo a wealthy hacienda owner and father of Bemta and Juanita lovely twin daughters played by Ardelle Boreson and Albana Barnette The two lovers of Bemta and Juanita Juan and Pablo are played by Bernard Boreson and Robert M111 Senor Swateo and Senor Whackeo the two Toreadores are played by Gordon Vallandigham and Harry Hall The girl friends of Benlta and Juanita Delores and Marie were played by Patricia Erickson and Mary Ann Clowes A chorus made up of more than 80 members of the Junlor and Senior High School sang several Spanish numbers Left to right: Benita, Ardelle Boreson: Juan, Bernard Boreson: Senor Swateo, Gordon Vallandighamg dancer, Mary Novingerg Dolores, Patricia Erickson: Senor Dictorio, LaVere Tippettsg Marie, Mary Ann Clowesg dancer, Donna Newtong Senor Whackeo, Harry Hallg Pablo, Robert Millsg Juanita, Albana Barnett. ,291
