The above monogx am designed by a member was adopted last yeal as the local emblem and is stenclled on the wall of the dining room where the monthlx dinner meetings are held HE Glasgow chapter of the Montana Education Association IS recognized as one of the most active locals in the state and was one of the first to take the lead in promoting strong local umts This year the group has stressed in its program the development of close state and local relationship Contributing to this development was the visit of M P Moe state executive secretary at the February meet mg The group holds a dinner meeting on the second Thursday ln each month at the Blue Room of the Allen Cafe Program food and table committees are appointed to arrange for these meetings Outside speakers from local or state organizations or local musicians often participate in these programs A special activity for the year was the Northeastern District M E A convention held in Glasgow last October A number of splendid general and sectional meetings were presented under the dxrectoin of local and outside teachers for this Golden Anniversary convention Social activities are an important part of the year s program Fea tures of this year were the picnic at Porcupine creek the banquet and dance with the Wizard of Oz theme during the convention ard the Apache New Year s party Elected to represent the local staff at the Delegate Assembly in G Cloris Swmdler and Supt R L lrle delegate at large l939 40 Cfflcers of Glasgow Local - i Q--Qi., Left to Ilght Miss Helen Atkins president Archie Rukola vice president Mack Monaco secremxs treasurer Rox Huber auditor 7 reat Falls this March were: Miss Helen Atkins, local president: Miss 5 .
