Pep Club of juniors and Seniors You're pep, you're pep! These words yelled lustily by the Girls' Pep Club helped to boost our football and basketball teams to fame this year. At every home game and several out-of-town games, too, one could see this bevy of good spirited girls and their sponsor planted in a conspicuous place in the grandstand. They were a strik- ing sight in their scarlet colored skirts and white sweaters with the red and white letters on the front. But these girls weren't satisfied with just being seen. Their three energetic cheer leadrs, Pussy Pease, Kate Puchalla and Mickey McMillan, led the club and the whole cheering sections in peppy yells. l-low could the boys help but play their best and better when those cheers were ringing in their ears? To get the money to buy the club letters and to enable the girls to go to out-of-town games, they sold basket- ball badges and sponsored a dance. The Pep Club was organized last November under the leadership of Miss Crest. The officers elected were: Dorothy Christensen, presidentg Kathryn Puchalla, vice president, and Lorraine Jensen, secretary-treasurer, The Pep Club is made up of girls in their junior and senior years at Glasgow l-ligh. Omigoodness . . . A freshman from the Amazon Put nighties of his Gramazong The reason is that l-le was too fat To get his own Pajamazon. FEDERAL BUILDING-POST OFFICE Glasgow's post office was moved from the old Cole- man building, which has so long been its home, into the new federal building location. Every Glasgow citizen is justly proud of the l5th and l6th of April. Keys for the lock boxes were given out the previous week. Mail was distributed for the first time on Sunday, April l6th. For this occasion Postmaster Sternhagen had a rubber stamp made for stamping all outgoing mail. The Scotty is proud to announce that this stamp was first designed by one of our own students, Leslie Jones. At this time dedication date has not been set. A Washington, D. C., post office official will be here for this occasion when it has been properly arranged, When Sarah Mae entered school, the carpenters were working at the building. After a few days she saw them handling a very large piece of lumber and, running to her teacher, she asked, Miss Crest, is that the school board they're putting on there now? G CLUB, ORGANIZED LAST FALL, What a busy organization the G club is these daysl These boys, with a wide variety of talent, are al- ways up and doing something, especially with all these high school functions to usher for. They are a group of boys with lots of pep and help carry on the fountain of school spirit. The club has elected the following officers: John Wedum, president: Clarence Johnson, vice-president: George Lane, secretary and treasurer: jack Montgomery, right hand, and Darwin Markle, left hand man. They have business meetings twice a month. The G club, organized by Mr. Breen in November, includes all eligible boys, who earned letters in football and basketball. An antique is something none would be seen with if there were more of them, but which everyone wants when no one else nas any. A freshman was heard telling a fellow classmate, quote: The other day I was transplantin' a cactus and about killed myself with the stickers, so l trimmed the thing with the scissors and now it's turnin' all brown.
