The new score board that is seen at the east end of the gymnasium was made possible by the loyal business men of Glasgow. Above it is an advertising unit for their advertising. We all express our thanks for such a splendid score board. The score board is a remote con- trol box. NEW SYSTEM TO DECIDE GRID TITLES The Montana High School association board of con- trol has worked out a new system to decide the state interscholastic football championship, Eighteen high school teams in the state will 'have a chance to capture the state crown under the plan which provides for an AA conference and an A conference, the latter divided into two zones, each with two sub-zones. Six schools ,all perennial producers of strong football elevens, were placed in the AA conference. They are Anaconda, Billings, Butte, Great Falls, Helena and Mis- soula. The A conference includes in the South zone, Boze- man, Livingston and I-larlowton, with Glendive and Miles City in the East subzone and Roundup in the West subzone. In the North zone are Butte Central, Kalispell and Whitefish. In the West subzone Lewistown, and Glasgow and Havre in the East sub-zone. The AA conference will play a round robin schedule: the title based on the season's record, with play-off, if necessary, to give one club first place. The round robin schedule for the AA must be completed by midnight of Armistice day. ln the A conference, title-holders in each of the four sub-zones must be decided by the fourth week-end in October. The class A zone titles must be determined by November 4 and the class A champion- ship by Armistice day. The class AA eleven ranking second in the season standings and the class A champion will meet November I8 to decide the opponent in the state championship game against the winner of the class AA round robin. Thus the winner of the class AA round robin is as- sured of a place in the championship game, while any one of the other class AA teams or any member of the class A may win the other place in the play-off. SPRING FOOTBALL HAS RECORD TURN-OUT Fifty to sixty players turned out on March 20 for spring football.
