Diary SEPTEMBER 27 The day has arrived at last-school has commenced. Automobiles filled with happy hearts, truly glad to be back in Glad Tidings and ready to work harder than ever before in preparation for service. VVhy, it won't be very long until we shall be in the harvest field of the lklaster. lVork-yes, but what a goal-serving Him! From all points of the compass they come, some to continue their study, others just entering Bible School. lt's surely good to be a student. Brother Donald Gee is here, and what instruction in the VVord. VVide-eyed sit the students drinking in every bit of the message, not one word can be missed. lt seemed we lived again with Paul, and Peter, and James, and Barnabas: we find ourselves in New Testament atmosphere. How near the Lord isl l SEPTMIBER Z8 Sunday-a blessed feast all day, each service better than the others. llore students arrived, ves, many strange faces, but not for long, we're all one family now, the G. T. B. I. family of the household of Faith. SEPTEMBER 20 A day of settling down and getting acquainted with the late-comers. a day of blessings and fellowship with the Lord and with each other. SEPTEMBER 30 The Rrrvptio,-f Dinner. It was a special welcome to the new students as all were gathered 'round the table of Christian fellowship, but best of all the Unseen Guest made His presence known. Blessed, soul-inspiring, uplifting, heart-melting, was the verdict passed by all whose privilege it was to be present. OCTOBER 2 Zum-Zum-zum-zum-zumAthe sound of the big bass drum vibrated through the Temple. Left, left, left, right, left, came the group marching. It was a demonstration street meeting. lnto the West Wing they went, where was gath- ered the fest of the school as listeners. The new students were going to be shown the value and method of street work. It seemed humorous as first one and then another of the demonstration sang off the key and then correctly, another spoke with the wrong attitude and quality of voice, then spoke correctly to show the difference: surely it was a good lesson, but it seemed a humorous one at first. How different was the closing when the drum was placed in the ring and in demonstration sinners asked to come to the mercy seat-a moment of silence and then the BREAK. A Senior boy in a luke- warm condition was touched of God and came running out from the rest of the student body and wept aloud at the drum. For a moment all were amazed, it seemed like carrying demonstration too far until it was perceived that in reality a heart was broken. just then it seemed the flood-gates of God's presence were open, the fire spread, all over hearts were touched-such confessions, such bless- ing, such weeping, as the breath of God swept over and all went down before it. Pride was cast aside, willfulness was put away, lives were reconsecrated to the entire will of God. The VVest Wing became the center of attraction as visiting lllinisters came in and shared in the blessings. VVhat a meeting! OCTGBER 24 Just a regular lVIonday night's service, the Seniors in chargeg song service finished, prayer over, testimonies just closing when someone, refusing to be denied the opportunity, testified-and the Fire fell. The spirit of the meeting was changed from the ordinary to one charged with the power of God. All over the building hearts were melted, tears Howed, souls said Amen to the will of God. and several were called to different parts of the globe to labor fO1' the blaster. OCTOBER 25 The Next fllorning. The Senior Class assembled for regular studies but some- how there was no interest in books. The Rain commenced to fall, not the mani- Tzuezzly-eiglzt
