Electrifying Achievements The EM ' s are always busy both inport and under way. This year, besides regular PMS to all electrical gear on board; they repaired electrical problems with the emergency generator and 2E main diesel generator. Just prior to departure they wired the two science vans. During the first science cruise much time and effort were expended not only on the ship ' s oceanographic gear but also on the scientist ' s gear. In spite of the work load placed on them by both the ship and scientists, their morale remained high as e i- denced by the grandiose pizza night they gave the crew.
