I DEDICATIO T0 MRS. L VGNNE H WE Have you ever realized the hundreds of hours that go into the planing of a yearbookethe many head- aches-and finally the moment of relief when the yearbook is complete. Mrs. Lavonne Hawes, as advisor to the Polymaid staff, has lived through all of this and more in order that she might guide the staff in the production of a yearbook everyone is proud of. Since becoming advisor, she has snapped pictures, drawn lines, fig- ured budgets, become an art critic, demonstrated the procedure of developing a print, and-oh yes-gotten a few gray hairs. And for what? Four All-American yearbooks and unlimited happiness. Mrs. Hawes also teaches freshman English and social studies, putting forth every effort to help each girl in every way possible. Her room, with the girls' original work and displays, is illustrative of the skill with which she works with the girls. We are proud of these efforts, and we are proud of our devoted teacher. We proudly dedicate this l96l Polytechnic Maid to the All-American Advisor -Mrs. Lavonne Hawes.
