BEHIND THE SCENES Mrs. Rathbun's smile reflected the graceous manner in which she kept the bookroom running smoothly. Her day consisted of tele- phoning, writing receipts, keeping the ac- counts, and checking in and out visual aids and textbooks, The secretaries, Miss Eugenia Mehelis fsittingl and Mrs. Virginia Stout had very busy days writing out tardy and absentee slips, answering the telephone calls, and typing the endless detailed letters and notices. Thanks to Mrs. lnez l-liltunen, Poly has a reputation for being one of the cleanest schools in the city, Here a little dab of polish goes a long way in keeping th brass so shiny and smudge free. The delightful aroma at lunch time was from the tasty foods prepared by Mrs. Nina Lloyd, fleftl Mrs, Marian Padie, and Mrs. Helen Woods, who are best remembered for their mouth-watering pies, salads, and hot dishes. Neat halls and class rooms, a warm build- ing, and general efficient maintenance were accredited to the handy men, Harold Weber, fleftl Lincoln Wright, lohn lasman, and Al Hardin.
