magna when the doors ot Girl Polytechnic were opened to old students as well as to the newcomers. Everyone helped usher in a year full of studying and many happy and colorful events, From the moment the alarm clock clanged its early warning 'till the downstairs clock chimed, lt's time to retire, students were always on the go. So much to dol So little time! The combination ot schoolwork, club meetings, fielcltrips, elec- tions, teas, and dances completely filled the year with all the enthu- siasm that the teenagers could muster. Each girl participated in many activities for she realized that these high school days could not pass this way again. Q Caring for small children in the school nursery has both educational and ejoyable values. From the never-ending antics ot the llSL1bI9Ci matter the course is increasing in popularity among our students.

Most girls who take typing plan to enter the sec- retarial or bookkeeping field, Here are Pat Armstrong and lackie McKinley practicing to build their speed. Along with shorthand, this class is making a favorable impression on the students at Poly. United We Stand was the topic of the United Fund panel given by Linda Iohnson, Peggy Patrick, lanice Morgan, Anita Myers, Shirley Brower, and Sonja Henne on KPOI. The members were chosen from the freshmen social sudies classes.

time 64-- 0060 when all students are filled with thoughts of their year's accomplish- ments. Where did the time go? Did students use it wisely? So live that you need not be afraid of tomorrow nor ashamed of yesterday, Excitement reigns as the students prepare for the closing of the school year. Everyone is hurryingl The senior prom, the inventory of books, graduation, and the Rose Festival keep teachers as well as students busy. Anticipation grows with the seniors thinking of graduation with its many memories and symbols. But the seniors realize that the treasured symbol is the long-awaited-for diploma presented at the traditional ceremony. These four years were a time of unegualled op- portunity, growth, and gladness. Now the girls of yesterday stand forth as the women of tomorrow. Actual experience is found through the arts and crafts classes. Weaving is one of the popular projects by which students, Barbara Trinkhaus Cleftl, Claudine Newcomb and Karen Carlson express their ideas in design. Other types of art taught are metal work and block printing.
