MISS HEDWIG BLEEG To Our Honored Chef These carefully blended pages are respectfully dedicated to Miss Hedwig Bleeg, long one of the chefs of our great mixing bowl, who retires this year. For thirty-one years she has faithfully and pa- tiently guided innumerable Girls Polytechnic stu- dents to mix correctly the ingredients of not only the many recipes used by her foods classes, but also those that make for a sound and useful member of society. Every girl who has been in one of Miss Bleegs classes has had the opportunity to discover the sat- isfaction of doing a job well. She has learned by precept something of courtesy, loyalty and gentle- ness. The topping of Miss Bleegs many contribu- tions to the school is her love for flowers. This is expressed in her devoted supervision of the fuchsia show and of the Christmas floral displays spon- sored by the garden club to which she is the ad- viser. The retirement of this beloved teacher is a great loss to the entire school. We wish her well in the new life she is stepping into and hope it brings her the great rewards she has so richly earned. Miss Bleeg carefully explains the proper blending of a recipe while future h0memakers look on.
