1 949 1950 Dear Diary: Our yearbook is a school project and class, meet- ing seventh period under the competent supervision of our editor, Marilyn Reilly, and our advisor, Mrs. Lavonne Hawes. The photography staff, Anita VVright, Violet Lolley, and Betty Vinciguerra, shot all the pictures except the view of the school, por- traits of the seniors, some of the faculty, and the Rose Festival princess. Negatives were printed in the school darkroom by the darkroom-staff, Pat Ward, Mary O'Rourke, Teresa Searcie, and Polly Voss. Carol Heide created the cover. Divider pages were designed and screen printed by the art editors, Shirley Long and Charlotte Graves, guided by Mrs. Martha Ebener. But there are other activities involved in making a yearbook. That seemingly endless number of negatives was filed and recorded by Iris Fiske, Pat Gilbert, Diane Hedges, Mary Ann Holmes, and Dena Cofer. The complex job of keeping track of finances fell to business-staff members, Ray Stroud, Barbara Mosley, and Marilyn Rohlffs. The many hours spent soliciting for the ads which help so much in financing the book were the con- tributions of Connie Bellizio, Juanita Huck, and Betty Cox.

As our school year is drawing to a close this will be my last entry for the year. ln glancing backward over the pages for 1949-50 l see many Fine accom- plislnnents of students and teachers. One charac- teristic stands out-the progress made in planning and working together harmoniously in groups both in classroom work and in school activities. Since this is basic in living contentedly, happily, and sue- cessfully now and in the future while We are at work, in our homes, during our leisure time, and while we are carrying out our responsibilities as citizens we can all feel that our school year has been a good one. And so, Dear Diary, until next fall a happy vaca- tion to you and all the students and teachers in- cluded within your pages, Sincerely, VVilma j.
