FEBRUARY .... Betty Leo, an outstanding art student, Won MARCH APRIL . . . MAY .... recognition not only in Poly, but Was considered one of the best student artists in Oregon. Her entry in a local contest was sent East in competition for an art scholarship along with four other portfolios from Oregon. . . . . Rummage sale, rummage salel l Remember that familiar cry way back in March? Mary Margaret Blakney rallied to the call and brought the largest amount of articles for the sale which was sponsored by the school's P-TA. Even with April showers, Girls Poly received a breath of summer, ably administered by Donnalee Keller. Her portrayal of a fun-loving teen-ager in the spring senior class play, Sixteen-in-August gave every- one their spring tonic of laughs. Ah, me, a brainl Delores Lee had the highest grade average of the graduating senior class throughout her four years at Girls Polytechnic. IUNE .... Art is Well represented on the Polymaid's Calendar Girl page. Mrs. Martha Ebener, art instructor, was named Poly's Teacher of the Year . Miss ' wit' Mi Q5 march Wo' Apri l 2,3- 9 5 . l .ax Miss Y5. SEPTEMBER .... Ah, the hustle and bustle of the lirst month ol schooll Who can better typify September than the tall student body president, Rose Di Re. Amid the confusion ot settling down, Cookie led and we fol- lowed for the beginning of a successful school year. OCTOBER .... The first royalty of the yearl Queen Lois Morris ruled graciously over the trosh at one ot the major events of the year, the Ereshie Erolic. NOVEMBER .... Lorine Bishop received overwhelming ap- proval when the seniors bestowed upon her, the DAR award for being Girls Polytechnids Good Citizen . DECEMBER .... With a flair for drarnatics, and plenty ot poise to boot, LaVonne Lathrop gave us a pre-holiday greeting when she played the lead in the tall senior play, 'Second Fiddle . IANUARY ,... Clara Young became student body president tor the spring term, carrying on the high standards of Girls Polytechnic.
