SODALITAS LATINA The Classical Club QSodalitas Latinaj, founded ten years ago, provided pleasure and instruction for its members this year. The first regular meeting of the club was held in November. A short play, Fratres, was presented in Latin by members of the club, and games were played. In the December meeting Fratres was repeated, and the entertainment and refreshments were arranged to resemble those of the Roman Saturnalia. The program of the February meeting consisted wholly of games-espe- cially those concerning Valentines Day. The March meeting featured Malum Consilium, a Latin play which was so successfully presented that the club was invited to give it in an assembly. The last meeting Sodalitatis Latinae was held in April, when the members enjoyed a tour of the Ancient Treasures rooms at the Art Museum, a grand finale to a successful year. tPage Seventyl

THE STUDENT-TEACHER ADVISORY COUNCIL The Student-Teacher Advisory Council was founded in the fall of 1923 to promote the best interests of the school and voice the opinions of the pupils. Section A consists of the presidents of the two upper classes, the editor and the business manager -of the Jabberwock, the president and the treasurer of the Athenian Club, the editor of the Year Book, and representatives of the I, II, III, and IV A classes. Section B is made up of members of the teaching staff. A new section, the Junior Council, was organized this year, and includes girls from Classes IVB, V, and VI. The Council concentrated some of its efforts on the entering freshmen this year, and gave a party in their honor in October, so that they might become bet- ter acquainted with one another and with the school. Also, at the suggestion of the council, an adviser, Miss Cilennon, was appointed by Mr. Hapgood to assist in unifying the entire freshman class. The sophomores came in for their share of attention when a party was held for them in April. The regular duties of the council-patrolling the corridors, assisting in the lunch room, directing the fire drill, have not been neglected. The modernization of the school hall is a project which this council does not expect to see even begun, but hopes that future cou-ncils will carry on until new chairs and curtains, and an enlarged stage are a reality.
