LORRAINE OWEN 25 Garden Street, Boston We are indebted to the Green Mt state for sending us Lorraine, for this IS where she lived before coming to Boston Lorraine attended the Sprlngfleld Central School In Springfield, Vermont and she brought with her to G.H.S, a ready, kind word for all, She IS secretary of a young people's organization and also a nursery teacher In the Sunday School. Lorraine is going to work In an office next year, but we hear she has a hidden ambition to be a missionary. We might suggest that she souldn't hide her light under a bushel, for we are sure Lorraine has a qreat deal to give to anyone willing to listen. They are that she is going to be a housewife and her husband IS to be an artist. We don't know the story behind these convictions, but no doubt, It must be intriguing. She holds down the position of President In a church argonizatuon, and is also nursery teacher in a Sunday School. Her hobby DS sewing, and who knows, but someday she might be a fashion stylist? Ruth has the makeup of a successful business woman. At present, she IS taking the Commercial course and hopes to work in an office next year, bldlflg her time while waiting for bigger and better things to come along. ACTIVITIES History Club 4. An' nie graduated from the Michelangelo School with honors in algebra. This IS typical of her, You can usually find her hidden behind o stack of books studying, or worrying over that last test. Yet she still finds time to attend hockey games, baseball games, plays, movies, and pictures. Her ambition is to enioy life, and shc's doing lust that besides making a great many other people's lives more enloyable. That's the fa- miliar cry heard any time the senior bas- ketball team is playing In the gym. Manny, we are proud to admit, is one of the stars and hos contributed to its vic- tories over any and all contenders. She spends a few evenings every week play- ing basketball at the Peabody House Her other interests are swimming, bowl- ing, modeling, and dancing. Here's the amazing part though, Manny's favorite hobby is reading, which oes to show she is an all-around girl. Sie IS taking the commercial course now and is planning to go to work next year. CHRISTINE I'APAPOS'I'0l.0S 8 Cobb Street, Boston Yes, Chris is the girl who pops up with a different hairstyle and a big smile prac- tically every morning. She takes a great interest in our Glee Club, and in previous years was a member of our basketball team and in our school concerts. Out- side of school, Chris sings in St. John's Choir and belongs to o club called The Daughters of New Hellas. When it comes to music, Chris is right at home at play- ing the piano. She is taking the com- mercial course, and is goin into office work. Chris as another of arose individ- uals whom the travel bug has bitten, and her ambition IS to travel. 4 ACTIVITIES A,A. I, 2, Glee Club I, 2, ANDRE PAPPAS l20 Shawmut Avenue, Boston Andre came to G.H.S. by way of the Franklin School, and if she is a sample of their graduates, send us more. Andre is a poker and is always coming up with something witty to say, and in this way keeps her friends in high spirits with her sparkling sense of humor. Her neat ap- pearance and orderly manner should prove an asset to her future office work, and also in her efforts to have a wealthy man as a husband. Andre usually trav- els during her vacations and has spent many with her sister in Long Island, N. Y. She enlays singing and is a member of St. John's Choir.
