Connie is very ac- tive outside of school, as she's the presi- dent of the Jinx Club, a member of her choir, is in the Hellenic Association, and lastly, is a Sunday School teacher. Connie is an accomplished connoisseur of Greek and American folk dances, and she finds time to get in a little waltzing and giving on the side. Besides thot, she sends a bowling ball whrzzlng down the alley to scatter the pins, Connie is to be a secretary in the future, and with her disposition and personality, along with our best wishes, she should find her pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. Win likes all kinds of sports, and lists her preferences as skating, dancing, and bowling. She's taking o harrdressing course next year, for one of her ambr- tions is to be one of the girls whose hands will be fixing Milody's latest conf. Her alternate ambition is that of dental assistant, so there's a good chance she'll be found listening to the woes ot the dentlst's so abused patients! ACTIVlTlESZ Pre-driving 4, Alumnae Association 4, Yearbook Staff HELEN FRANZ 6 Ethel Street, Roslindale Henny plans to spend the better part of next year working to save enough for a trip to California, but she hastens to explain that ot's not for o chance to crash the movies that she's going there, lust as her trip to N. Y. had not been motivated by visions of Broadway then, though she has had a part in a play. Henny's ambition is to dabble with the paints on canvasses, or run over the ivo- ries with speed and grace. She collects shots af movie stars, awaits the forming of ice on lake surfaces for her ice skat- ing, then, later, she uses the water for swimming. Fall finds her cheering on the pigskrn chasers, a free evening finds her ta ing in the movies, and lastly, Henny likes to take walks, which she describes as nice and long, exclamation point! She hopes to be doing yust that next year. During vacations she likes to do a ittle traveling, and perhaps she will return to New York which she has vis- ited and eniayed. Those successful dances held at the Peabody House every Satur- day nrght are partly due to Rita, for she rs an active member of the dance com- mittee there, When not dancing, or planning some social event, Rita handles a mean racquet at tennis. BLANCHE FILES Blanchie I7 Sharon Street, Boston Dark-haired Blonchie plans to answer the challenge of the business world as a secretary, so next year she is goingn to be one of the girls in a business sc ool learning how to successfully carry out her position in a capable, efficient man- ner. It is going to mean work, but Blonchie will try her hardest to realize this ambition of hers. To take up the slack of her leisure hours, Blanchie goes dancing and swimming, visits the bowling alleys in the hope of making a strike, meets new people through the pages of novels, and spends her remaining time maintaining her balance in the skating rin s. ACTIVITIES: Library Service Club 2, 3, Glee Club lg Alumnae Assn, LOUISE FILES I7 Sharon Street, Boston Sports, plainly and simply are Lou's outside hobbies, so we're taking it from there and say that the different sports palaces: Fenway Park to watch the base- ball fly over the diamond in the surn- mer, out to the gridiron to watch ex- citedly for a touchdown in the fall, and down to the Boston Garden to watch the puck chasers tear up the ice to flash the red light in the winter are her favorite places. She likes dancing and bowling, although not from the sidelines. Lou is going on to work next year to await her ambition of becoming a housewife, but 'wherever she goes, our best wishes follow er. Those are the words of Jo, and they aptly sum up her feelings as she leaves here to take her place in the business world as a private secretary, should her ambition be realized. Jo's spent tour months in the land of eternal sunshine lar so it's rumored of that state on the West Coasti, and has passed a vacation there so enjoyable, that she remembers it yet with a fond, reminiscent gleam. lo's time is spent in following her partner's dance steps to the tune of an orchestra on a dance floor, and learning how to thread a needle and sew a fine seam. She's going to pain the legions of our girls marching into the business world, and to make doubly sure she's prepared, she's going to visit Boston Clerical School. here she'II learn the finer points of cOping with her future position. Sis likes to watch all kinds of sports, games, and the local teams have the loyal support of at least one staunch rooter, whether winning or losing. Sis, herself, goes in for dancing, skating, and swimming. Wherever Sis finds herself in the future, she'Il be doing her best, her ambition shouldn't be too hard to realize. ACTIVITIES. El,lZABE'l'Il ANN l Ul.l,ER Il Albemarle Street, Boston When one of Littlebits' friends was asked about her, the reply was, Well, no doubt she was born talking. While this is slightly exaggerated, it does give an idea of the sparkling effervescence of Betty's personality. Anyone who has read any of Betty's stories is aware of her wonderful literary ability. She wrote the delightful play we all enioyed at the iunior party, she won a cash award in on oratorical and essay contest at her church, she has a worth while hobby of writing stories and poems, several of which have been published in newspapers and Girl Scout magazines. Her practical ambition is iournalism, and her dream is to meet Pearl Buck, her favorite author. May she go on for in the fictional field, she has the ability. ACTIVITIES: Junior party entertain- ment, Debating Club 2, 3, Glee Club I, 2, 3, 4, Sophomore Aspirants. MARY FUSCO 170 Salem Street, Boston Typewriters, telephones, and reports will be the familiar obiects to the eyes of Pinky when her ambition is realized, for she plans on being a secretary next year to help keep some firm running smoothly. On o lighter side, Pinky likes dancing, scribbling down scores on a bowling scoresheet for the fun of adding up the columns of figures for the grand total, and collecting souvenirs and coins, then taking time out to watch her favo- rite actors romp across the screen in va- rious plots. Whatever Mary does in the future, she is sure to carry out her re- sponsibilities to the best of her ability in her conscientious way. ACTIVITIES' Alumnae Assn. JANE GAILAGIIER 4 Forest Place, Dorchester Jane, being the gregarious type of person, likes meeting different people and making friends of the people she meets. She must have an interesting rep- ertoire of friends, part of which can be attributed to her aforementioned feel- ings, and part to her pleasantness. Keep- ing o scrapbook, keeping time to the music, both in the rink and dance hall, and quieting the cries of the younger set by baby-sitting comprise the activities taking up her spare time. Jane's going to venture into the world next year to go to work, and may her gregariousness and love of meeting people stay with her in the future and help her to enioy life that much more.
