MARIE KING ROSE ROE PUBLIC SPEAKING AND DECLAMATION Marie King was selected as the schools extemporaneous speaker and represented Central in the district contest at Helena Where she was awarded fourth place. Marie's subject Was, The Monroe Doctrine in Japan. Rose Roe with the selection. Flaming Youth, Won first place in the school declamation contest. Marie King and Helen Lavelle were sec- ond and third respectively. Six girls selected in a preliminary contest participated. Rose represented the school in the state contest at Missoula. This year the public speaking and declamation classes were very large, and the members furnished many entertaining programs for the student body.
