In Special Appreciation . . ... Mr. Joseph Shuster Mr. Shuster, you have done so much for so many Girardians! It is not possible to thank you for all that you have contributed through the years. There is no way to give you the credit and recognition that you deserve. Your straightforward manner and willingness to help others have inspired hundreds of Girard boys. Through your understanding and selflessness you have gained the respect of everyone who has had the pleasure of knowing you. It was a very rare occasion, indeed, when a student in need of aid could not find you in your classroom after school. Your keen sense of humor and good natured quips made class interesting and entertaining. Many “Hummers” have profited from your genius in the field of mathematics. a Mr. Shuster, you will never be forgotten by our class. You have greatly contributed towards maintaining Girard College’s standards of excellence, and for this and many of your other endearing qualities, you will be sorely missed. We wish you all the luck in the world. 14
