, 1 2 f f ' f fl lv A leg .lunuor Closs Hustory ln September l932 lne smartest freshman class that C C H S has ever seen or ever wull see clumbed the staurs and selected theur seats on the west sude of the study hall How doth the busy luttle fly Improve each shunung munute9 He Suts upon the freshman s head And wonders what us un ut No one wondered what was un our heads The others knew by our actuons that we held an excessuve amount of gray matter We were so smart that none of us got unto the wrong classroom or stood up when asked to recute The freshmen gurls learned the culunary arts wuth the help of Muss Alford The whute sauce was often lumpy one demure luttle lassue had to make sev eral pues before hers had reached perfectuon and two other gurls played catch wuth some buscuuts but nevertheless we had a good tume whule learn ung to cook Several of our classmates were elected to uoun the F S A A quute a few were reporters for the Megaphone and many of the boys went out for foot ball and basketball Our Curls Basketball team won second place un the Inter class tournament There were forty two of us and under the guudance of Donna Walker as class presudent Edna Freutag vuce presudent Rosemary Sweeney secretary treasurer and Muss Muller as class sponsor we sauled through our freshman year wuth no mushaps Mrs Burke was our class sponsor untul she moved away and then Mr Tarpley took her place lulua Herron was the class presudent Edna Freutag vuce presudent and Louuse Kersey was the secretary and treasurer fudent that we could steer the uunuor shup Thus year we are the smallest class un the school there beung only thurty nune of us But don t worry' What we lack un quantuty we make up un qualuty We are a fast and peppy bunch and really keep thungs buzzung around the school Our class play The Tun Hero was a whuz Many people saud that ut was the best uunuor play ever guven un C C H S whule some saud that ut was the best play every guven un Culman They were rught too' Thus year chemustry and typung seem to be the two chuef gruevances of the uunuors Some of the students have guven theur hard earned money to buy new lab equupment that was broken un chemustry If you want to see what tempers some of the uunuors have lust come to the typung room Some count to ten whule others tear theur haur lt s really most dusgustung to make a mustake on the last word of a perfect page Wuth Fred Scherer as class presudent Rosemary Sweeney the vuce presu dent Donna Walker the secretary treasurer and Muss Connell and Mr Mc Clelland as class sponsors we are plannung to guve one of the buggest and best uunuor senuor banquets Next year we wull be senuors and we hope that we wull have as faur weather un saulung the shup Senuor as we have had un past years The followung people un the class have been together sunce the furst grade Barbara Beyer Everette Boughan Freda Detruck Margaret Cuules lulua Herron Charles Hutchcock Marybelle Marberry Rosemary Sweeney and Herschel Martun Thus Page through the Courtesy of Culman Lumber Company N V - V 2 f ,u , a ff f u ' - 4 ff ll' - 'Zi ' ' ,S ' , 'lf . . - I -Q Q J!
