I --f fllyc 642 fl GQ f Sensor Closs Hsstory ln September I93l a group of freshmen entered the assembly through the west door and made a dash for back seats Very few of them were suc cessful however as there were only a small number of back seats Marsan Stephens was elected pressdent and Msss Muller was class sponsor Because we were freshmen we had to have some partses rsght away Dursng our freshman year we started the F S A A a dramatsc club under the dsrectson of Msss Kertes lt was also dursng our freshman year when the Megaphone was started Other than thss our freshman year was uneventful When we entered school sn the fall of l932 we felt Iske we knew more about everythsng than the freshmen The Freshmen certasnly were green but I guess we dsdn t realsze lust how green we had acted when we were freshmen or we wouldn t have felt so supersor Allen Arends was elected pressdent of our sophomore class Nothsng of smportant happened dursng thss year At the begsnnsng of our sunsor year we elected Gerald Whstted for press dent of the class Dursng the year we presented the play Three Taps at Twelve Most of our tsme dursng our junsor year was spent sn maksng money for the sunsor sensor banquet The banquet was a bsg success besng gsven sn gypsy style Msss Connell and Mr Treado were class advssors It was wsth a feelsng of prsde that we came back to school sn l934 We were sensors now' Lester Stame was elected pressdent and Mr Bremer was our class advssor We gave the play entstled Call lvle Early Ssnce we were now sensors we hadn t the tsme for partses that we dsd when we were As the tsme for graduatson drew near we felt a thrsll of pleasure and prsde and yet we had a feelsng of sadness We hope that the lower classmen wsll apprecsate and love our school as we have as we now surrender our place to the sunsors I-lomecomsng The fsrst homecomsng of C-slman Communsty Hsgh School was held on Frs day November 9 Thss homecomsng brought back fsfty three of our alumns who expersenced a pleasant and ensoyable get together Bussness houses closed sn the afternoon for several hours and most of them entered sn the mammoth parade staged sn the afternoon The parade went around town and then to the hsgh school where a receptson commsttee greeted the homecomsng guests After the parade reached the hsgh school a stunt show was gsven by varsous members of the hsgh school student body The numbers conssdered of noveltses an dancsng acrobatscs dramatsc presentatsons mussc etc Fol lowsng thss a receptson tea was gsven for the alumns guests Everyone spent a delsghtful hour wsth thesr schoolmates of the past The ensoyable event closed wsth the annual football clash between Gslman and Onarga Hsgh The game was the fsnal battle for both teams and was won by Onarga I3 O A prelsmsnary game was played between the freshman squad and the grade school team Through the untsrsng efforts of Mr Bremer thss reunson was trsed for the fsrst tsme sn the hsstory of our school lt was such a success that we hope to make our homecomsng an annual affasr Through the Doywsth cs Sensor Yes Mother l m gettsng up rsght now sound to my ears Yes Mother I m getsng up rsght now Ten msnutes later I arrsve down stasrs rubbsng my eyes and looksng as though I had seen better days and nsghts too Thss however ss only the Thss Page through the Courtesy of Dr E V Henderson N, V - V I .xg-1' , ,. .' . . ., , ll, ' .
