CHlDk1Fg back ao roxinstely thirteen years ago, remember in particular one bright shining dav when we began our schooling here at Gilman Consolida ed Yes back in the fall of 1059, tventy little gar en with Miss Ruth Dental as our teacher follows Varjorie Arment, Vargaret Carlson Farle tots entered kinde The ouoils were as v Rverts Donn ould Colleen Matney Merle Dougherty, Richard Phillips Va Uaret Raul, Veltn Stahl, Russell Sult, Nancy Soencer, Roger Tn ro Gall Vo urs, Rhlllio Vande Kamp, Wayne Weidner, Freddie Weaver, Roger Deterson, Robb y Campbell Monica Higgins, and Charles Buch ald The following year we returned as first graders finding Visa Carmen Cogill as our teacher During thisyear as lost Varjorle Arment Roger Deterson, and Charles Buchwald but gained Kent Calcins ani Rd in Lacina Journeying on to second grade e e e under the direction of Mies Irene Chrislnver James and Joe Vorton joined our group that year but ae lost four oth rs Vonica Ula ins Rloha d Dhlllios and Rduin Laclna The following year third grnde four nev members loined us Dixie Lee Tunsford Villiam laeon Shirlev Lowery and 'anda Roster Kent Calkins, Donn Gould Keith Stahl and Russell Sult left us Viss Razel Humes w s our instructor Miss Janet Juel was our supervisor when re lournered upstairs for our fourth grade year Richard Rhillios Gloria Shule , and Russell Shine Joined our group that year but we lost Dixie lee lunsford Colleen Vatney and Roger Tharo During our fifth year in school we added two neu students 'nrilee lande Kamp and Jeanne Hoops, and lost one student Richard Rhilllos Doris Vhite was our teacher that year The following year, sixth grade three new members iolned with Shirley Carson, LeRoy Dixon, and Donald Rartwig But during this year we lost seven Jeanne Hoops Shirley lowery, William Vason, Russell Shine, Freddie Weaver, and Joe and Jim Vorton lies Doris vhlte was again our instructor Alas' We had reached seventh grade, and were now in the high school building Catastrophe struck' ' Don Gould and horma Rlliott Joined us Shirley Carson, Donald Hartwig and lands Foster left us durlrg this year Mrs Floyd Forman was our teacher Mrs Forman and Miss Meds Mohler were our instructors in elgh grade During Davids Then came came and went Speas and Verle this year we lost Verle Dougherty ard gained Jesse the beginning of our High School days Initiation Day without too mary ce uallties Tone other than Verrlll Dougherty Joined us that year Ve lost Gail Voshurg and Jesse Davids the second semester An entire new faculty greeted us that year Junior Buys a Carn, a one act play, was oresented During our Sophomore year we gained Rrma leleon and Rudy Frye However, we lost Rudy before the year was over Gail Vosburg came back that year 'Life O in the spring Our Junior year was a ing the receiving of class n med, 'Ready Made Fsmilyu Junior Senior Banquet in Vande Kamp moved to Texas the Party N was an hilarious play oresented busy year Vany events took place includ rings selling candy the Junior Class Play which proved a real success, and the annual which we entertained the Seniors farilee and back during this vear HTheen Senior Year proved the most exciting and eventful David ling joined us the second semester The carnival class play Senior pictures, Junior Senior Barouet Skip Day and Graduation nox mark the final milestones on our hlghwav to success in this phase of our Jour ney Of the thirteen seniors onlv five are original me bers of the clas that began in 1010 They are Margaret arlson araeret Raul, Nancy Spencer, Phillip Vande Kamp, and Rarley Rverts -J - A, 1 A - ' v- . 4, X Q , A A A , . .U a , g . ,.. , u , , -' T .. , s .
