The fast break i Ti ar- 3 and impressive aggressiveness were highlights of Coach George Berg- A gren's varsity team, Alter winning the championship of the Litchfield Invitational Tournament, the spirits were somewhat dampened by an unexpected loss in the semi-finals of the Macoupin County Tournament. i' With renewed spirit the Miners faced , a good Hillsboro team in the Regional final and dropped a heartbreaking 64- 62 decision which closed the season.
