(not pictured) Science Club This year’s Science Club has been one of the best. Darryl Bates has done a fine job of planning activities. The club visited the Spider Museum in Powhatan, the Rich- mond Astronomical Society, the Virginia Institute of Marine Science, and the rock mines at Amelia, where everyone had an enjoyable time. The club was also invited by St. Cath- erine’s School to attend a film entitled ‘‘The Vanishing Eden’’ which was presented by the National Audubon Society. Wildlife Club The Wildlife Club under the leadership of Kevin Wooldridge, has shown much enthusiasm and interest in their projects and trips. Their projects in- cluded the development of the nature trail and the organiza- tion of a contest to keep the school clean. Another success- ful project they held was the Valentine’s Dance which took place in the Multi-purpose room. The club took trips to the Spider Museum and to Maymount Park for the day. They ended the year’s activities with a spring picnic at Forest Hill Park. Activities 29
