It is a service organi- zation with goals to help the surrounding community. The sponsor, Mr. Ron Franklin, carried the club through it’s starting weeks. Now, on fairly solid ground, it has under- taken many projects successfully and the fu- ture looks bright for this club. The SCA has already spon- sored numerous bake sales, homecoming activities, a carwash, and with the Senior class held a Christmas dance at which time the Juniors received their class rings. Up to this point the SCA has served as a dance club, but not anymore! The association feels that the SCA should serve other school—oriented programs. For example; an effort is being made to become a member of the Chesterfield SCA and Jim is presently talking to the school officials. In order to instill school pride, the SCA also has plans for a school improvement program. The SCA has done an excellent job in the past, and with the help of the student body our SCA can do an even better 7 job in the future! 1 75
