M. I. Bomb his senior year and so well expresses our thoughts today. We, therefore, dedicate this our first yearbook, Reflections, to our first and continuous President of the Board of Directors of Gill School. In Wonderland” ‘. . . To provide mutual understanding between students . To develop a high type of school ” and administration . . morale To promote fund-raising activities These are a few reasons for last year’s formation of a Student Cooperative Association. After a successful year, the organization continued with Mr. William Upshaw as sponsor. The SCA sponsored several dances during the year with great student participation at each. Their biggest was theme for Xmas Outside as well as Gill students danced away the Xmas Dance. This resulted in the girls being able to wear pantsuits just in time for the coldest winter days. They also continued last year’s Free Days, bringing pleasure to the students and a supplement to the Treasury. This fund was a great asset for dance expenses. The students voted “Reflections” as the name for the yearbook from a slate of about five names. Mrs. Evalyn Bland- ford graciously consented to be sponsor of the yearbook. Editors for each section, along with Editor-in-Chief Nancy Deringer and Assistant Editor Rhoda Richardson, laid out the yearbook. All involved were quite busy during the short time before the deadline taking pictures, writing sum- maries of events, collecting ads, and laying it all out. Everyone looks forward to a bigger and better “Reflections” for next year. Editors rush to meet February 16 deadline. 31 m, id ad Hoeterinns Oe sire mE Seated: Jayne Sneed, Cheryl Westcott; editors. HOOFPRINT Registers as Voice of Students Members of the Hoofprint staff have been busy this year preparing the third volume of the school’s publication. The paper, which has become an important part of Gill School, was started by Mr. Phillip Jones, but Mr. William Preston has taken over as sponsor. The Hoofprint came out four times this year and each issue contained interesting articles on upper school activities, sports events, gossip and lower school news. This year, for the first time, an editorial page was added to the paper, making it in reality the voice of the students. The Hoofprint staff is headed by co-editors Jayne Sneed and Cheryl Westcott. The staff combines students with many different talents and interests for a unique total ef- fect. The main qualification is willingness to work. aly Hoefprinr bs $62 ET7O Seated: Terri MacDonald, Laura Ohly, Carol Brinkley, Bonnie McIntyre, Andy Rives.
