Mrs Frinck the German washer woman REST ASSURED CHARACTERIZED Mr. Morlock, a wealthy broker Mrs. Morlock, his wife Mary, their daughter Jessica, their younger daughter Mildred the maid Joe Lanconi Mary s f1ance Luigi Lancom Joe s father a meat cutter Martha Luigi s departed wife Lucifer from down below Miss Akers Mr Morlock s secretary George Plew Mr Morlock s attorney Mrs Schmaltz 'depart d but devilish Dr Brown the family physician Mr Black nervous twitchy mortician Jake a cocky newsboy Tom Stead Sharon Dickson Joy Korynta Phyllis Arnberger Vicki Garland Doren Wagar Allen Hobbs Virginia Oppegard Roger Bye Joanne Bye Dick Bye Myrna Eriksen Bruce Dickson Conrad Murach John Svoboda Laminda Austin SYNQPSIS Mr Morlock s a fidgety nervous grouchy old goat who doesn't like anything but money won t let his family do anything always gripes about his pains and aches feuds Wlth everyone and he won't let daughter Mary Z0 become engaged to Joe Lanconi because .Toe s papa is poor In short he's a drip of the worst sort So when Joe s papa Luigi comes over to plead his son s case he s practically booted out of the house Right here the two old fellows start a feud that puts the Hatfield McCoy fracas to shame They fuss and fight all over the place Mr Morlock who s known as P U to his new fr1ends lthat stands for Ph1l1p Ulyssesl says if Mary weds up with Joe lt ll be over his dead body Luigi says if they don t it ll be over his So round and round they go Luigi s always had a bad heart and well the poor old boy just can t take it and he konks out The feud appears over All is lost But whoa up' Hold the phone' Luigi gets permission to come back and haunt Mr Morlock and to continue haunting him until he gives permission for the wedding Needless to say Mr Morlock's frant1c All the family think he's lost his few remaining marbles when they see him out there talking to himself tLu1gi s v1s ible only to Morlock J So Lu1g1 starts haunting in a big way He kicks Mr Morlock out of bed pulls the cover off him kicks him in the seat of his nightshirt flirts with his secretary and cavorts around in a fashion that would put most ghosts to shame Poor Mr Morlock He can't eat can't sleep His family thinks he s nuts ln his despair he ACClDENTLY takes too many sleeping pills Then it happens H too kicks the bucket So does this end it all'P Far from it because Mr Morelock won't leave until thlngs are settled to his satisfaction and Luigi says he can t rest in peace until Mary and Joe are married So around they go again Right about here Lucifer the rounder upper of lost souls from 'down below drops in pitchfork and all to take Mr Morlock to the lower regions And to top it all off he watches life in the Morlock home go on as if nothing s happened No one misses him Mary prepares for her wedding daughter Jessica 13 prepares to start her wrestling career Mother Morlock is actually smil ing again and family doctor Brown right in front of the deceased Mr Morlock actually holds her hand and hints at matrimony 'vir Morlock now realizes what a heel he s been lf he only had another chance If only then Mildred the maid awakens him He spent the night on the sofa It's all been a bad dream He d1dn't die and neither did Luigi Needless to say a very reformed Mr Morlock makes vast promises okays the wedding and peace finally reigns at the Morlock s Z3 1 . , . 1 . . . , 7 Y - . ., H H . . . . 1 ' 11 11 1 - 1 , . , . , . , ,I .. .
