We ask that the beneficiaries receive their prized gifts in as sound and firm a mind as that which they are given. In this manner do we dispose of our possessions. Article I: I, Phyllis Arnberger, will my initiative to George Johnson, a young man with a definite deficiency. I also leave my hook-shots to all future basketball players. Article ll: I, Joanne Bye, will my hungry stomach to all my attentive listeners. I also will my gum-snapping ability to those who desire a guaranteed method of driving teachers crazy. Article III: I, Laminda Austin, will my ability to find a man to Darlyne Swenson. who is cur- rently trying to run one down. Article IV I, Roger Bye, will six feet of my six feet four inches height to Melvin Aaserude, who seems to have stopped growing, my sense of humor to the world's greatest pessimist, Bruce Dickson, and my money making schemes to all those now going through the throes of bankruptcy. Article V: I, Sharon Dickson, will my calm, cool, and collected nature to Donny Amundson, who is continually being shook-up by the teachers. I also will my short hair cut to all girls who find it necessary to wear hardware to school. Article VI: I, Vicki Garland, will my excuses for getting out of school to Oris Gilbertson, who is compiling a book entitled, Alibis For All Occasions. Article VII: I, Arson Allen Hobbs, will my box of matches to anyone who shows signs of de- veloping the finer arts of the profession. I-lint: With this background one can also become proficient in flooding teachers' homes. Article VIII: I, Conrad Murach, will my nerve wracking laugh to anyone who wants to drive his enemies crazy. I also will my desk to anyone who will remember and appreciate the romantic history connected with it. Article IX: I, Virginia Oppegard, will my slim figure and quiet ways to Barbie Dickson, who is in dire needs of both of these characteristics. Article X: I, Joy Korynta, will my ability to go without dinner to Carol Sime, who never misses a meal. I also will my artistic and singing qualities to all those less cultured than I. Article XI: I, Tom Stead, will my study habits to anyone who can go through school without cracking a book. Warning! It's the easiest but possibly not the most re- Warding. Article XII: I, John Svoboda, will my truck driving ability to Melvin Aaserude, whose main obstacles when behind the wheel are the depressions on each side of the road and my carefulness to the wonder boy, Pogo Kvamme, the daredevil of pick-up circles. Article XIII: We, the Senior Class of 1959, leave to the students peace, quiet, and a deep sense of tranquility to prevail throughout these portals of learning. We also leave to the teachers our always perfect attendance records and the mem- ories of our looks of sheer intelligence. 2 SIE SATELLITE SA Ha1l' ha1l' you romp1n stomp1n earthlmgs of out there land Th1s 1S SUS19 Satell1te speakmg to you from the h1ghest crater on the moon I have just encountered twelve earthlmgs through my snooperscope who are Celebratxng the1r twenty one years of absence from the hallowed halls of learn1ng My reporter Jul1an Van Guard snooped 1nto the l1ves of these twelve creatures and here IS an on the spot report He learned V1rg1n1a Oppegard has patented her techn1que of be1ng seen but not heard Her b1gg6St cus tomers are pool room vulgar1ans and street corner ph1losophers The revenue from her patent keeps both her and her husband comfortable 1n the Antarct1c where they spend many hours 1n sol1tude Tom Stead one day 1n a dream conce1ved the 1dea of 1nvent1ng a machme wh1ch would allow students to get through school do1ng even less work than he d1d lan unbelmevable rnachmel H IS now l1v1ng 1n New York where he IS prom1nent 1n SOC1Cty c1rcles as a wealthy playboy Leadlng the nat1onal stand1ng for lady Jalopy rac1ng IS Joanne Bye She refuses to do any housework and makes her husband content to th1s wh1le she drxves 1n the races as the 'Powder Puff T1ger Allen Hobbs 15 ra1s1ng Mex1canJump1ng beans He IS the only grower m lNorth Dakota and enjoys a h1gh degree of prosper1ty from h1S chosen f1eld H1s beans Hobbs Hoppers are guar anteed to have more get up and go than convent1onal ones Lam1nda Aust1n IS now secretary for Mrs Ima Fake who 1mports and sells the famous Ima Fake D1amonds In her past1me she cares for her e1ghteen ch1ldren Her goal be1ng twenty s1x one for each letter mn the alphabet John Svoboda 15 a coast to coast trucker H1s newest truck IS a1r cond1t1oned has 100 speeds ahead and never runs out of fuel The b1ggest Job he has tackled so far has been the mov1ng of a dozen elephants from New York to San Franc1sco ln the heart of Texas on an enormous ranch Phyll1s Arnberger has occup1ed all of her t1me car1ng for her enormous fam1ly Wlth care and affect1on she devotes all her love to her 476 stray cats She takes pr1de that her ranch IS the b1gg6St mouse trap 1n the southwest and that xt does not requ1re cheese for a ba1t Conme Murach 1S st1ll dr1v1ng h1s 1959 POnt1aC wh1ch IS loaded w1th everyth1ng 1mag1nable from the front bumper to the rear poop deck He has d1ff1culty 1n keep1ng the wmdows 1n the car as h1s exght ch1ldren are all expert marksmen Wlth a sl1ng shot V1ck1 Garland world famous x ray techn1c1an and uncoverer of the facts 15 work1ng on the problem of baldness To relax from the stra1n of her work she and her husband attend Mex1can cock f1ghts Joy Korynta world famous teacher of early mornmg b1rd Slnglng blackboard eras1ng and c1rcle draw1ng has now atta1ned her masters degree IH each of these fxelds and IS teach1ng these subjects at a college level to the penqu1ns 1n Antarct1c Sharon D1ckson 1S a un1versally famous chef IU Italy Her speclalty be1ng peanut butter sandw1ches In her le1sure she attends bull f1ghts at the famous arena 1n Rome where her champ1on bull Lulgl has won many a match after be1ng f1lled up on peanut butter sandw1ches My reporter then reahzed that one of the class was m1ss1ng namely Roger Bye To f1nd Rog he had to put on a snow cap and Journey to the state of Alaska He located h1m near an abandoned gold m1ne wh1ch he was certa1n was not totally abandoned of 1ts resources He has been searchmg the m1ne for twenty years but IS not the type to g1ve up eas1ly espec1ally where there 15 a pecumary benef1t mvolved 11 . . .
