Clam I-hilary N the fall of 1940 our class started school Among the members then were La Verne Hubbard Glen Hallock Vanda Gregory Margaret Becker Preston Fancher and Alma Robinson As we went through school our class lost and gained members By the time we reached the eighth grade there were fifty three on the roll The class was divided and some took their Regents 1n January the others took them in June The ones who passed in January were further advanced for high school work At the beginning of our Freshman year all the class Joined again We selected Peggy Becker as our president and Miss Reed as our advisor During our Sophomore year we elected Fred Haverly as president and Mr Kelleher as our ad sor We put on aone act play called An Apple for the Teacher ln our Junior year we elected Fred l-laverly as our president and Mr Whitney as our advisor Our Junior one act play was 'Who Murdered Who ' We also put on dances sold candy and sold magazines to raise money for our Senior trip In our Senior year we again chose Fred as our president and Mr Whitney as our advisor We had sented a three act play Grandad Steps Out to ralse money The play turned out very successfully Our class selected the motto Speech is sllver but silence 15 golden the colors blue and silver and the flower the carnation Although we are looking forward to graduation we will miss school Alma Robinson 52 La Verne Hubbard 52 Clmf Calm' E the class of 1952 have chosen blue and silver as our class colors Blue was chosen because of 1 s meaning loyalty and truth Silver was selected with it because It blends so well and forms a shin in background for the blue even as the hard glittering colorless characteristics of l1fe only make truth and loyalty more outstanding All members of the Class of '52 have worked and strived together to makeour class happy and prosperous and have attempted to l1ve 1n accordance with the Symbolism of our colors Elizabeth Granby 52 16 vi . - . . - , , .
