IT'S OVER . . . Mr. Pico appeared to be concerned that the ball made it over the goal line. Friday night football was a Gilbert weekend tradition. Don't even take that picture, threatened CIA member Dee Ray to photographer Jamie Ecker. I need my sleep. Wait! Stop! Take our picture, exclaimed Cami Wells and Tracy Watkins Qwho moved to Tempe High areal. Most students spent their week- ends with family and friends or working. Relaxing and sleeping in on Saturday morning was quite com- mon. One could say that weekends were a way to forget schoolwork and all it's pressures, but if you were for- tunate enough, you enrolled in all the classes that assigned the most homework . . . over the weekend. Lots of girls, as well as guys could be found at the mall. Shopping was probably one of the better ways to spend a weekend. Or you may have visited relatives, which may not have thrilled you . . . if it didn't, then you could find the comfort you needed on the shoulder of your best friend, which made the weekend special.
