I e t .. c e . up - up u 2 '12' We, the undersigned, being of feeble mind and worn-out body on our departure from this institution that we have helped to make so famous--do on our word of honor will and bequeath the following: First--To our dear principal Mr. Roy Cline, we leave our beautiful pictures that were taken while we were in the seventh grade that have been so carefully preserved on our permanent records. Second--To our superintendent and general manager, Nlrs. Browning, we leave the empty space that no other class will ever be able to fill. Third--To our teachers who have struggled with us and who have patiently towed us to the shore we leave our thanks and appreciation for a job well-done. Fourth--To the Juniors we leave our special privileges that we have so thoroughly enjoyed which are really not too numerous to mention--namely, that of accupying the left front seats in the auditorium and that of being excused from study hall at various intervals to work on the yearbook. To the Sophomores we leave our ability to earn money because next year they will be Juniors and there will be times they will wish they were a 'King Midas' and that everything that they touch would turn to gold. To the Freshman we bequeath the ability to fill the few crevices in our 'hall of faxne' that we failed to fill. To the Junior High we leave our old notebooks, pencils, scrap paper, rulers, pro- tractors etc., and even the wods of chewing gum under the desks and tables. To the next class who is lucky enough to take our place, we will the key to our Senior-Sanctum where we have met so many hundred times to make our plans, discuss our problems, hide our secrets, share our joys, shed tears over our sorrows, and where we have spent many ore hours of hard but memorable toil. Individually we dcggfvill and bequeath as follows: I, R. D. Allen, will my Kingly position to the sophomore class with the under- standing that if I ever get a royal invitation from Princess Elizabeth it will be will- fully returned. I, Betty Lou Blankenship, will my short red hair and bad temper to Polly Mullins. I, Joan Blankenship, do not feel so sound in mind, and thereby, WILL, just WILL my deepest regret, unWILLingly. A 1, Romaine Browning, leave sympathy for all who venture into typing two. I, Gary Cline, will my Spanish appearance to anyone who enjoys acting. I, Ilene Cline, will my low pitched voice to anyone low enough to catch it. I, Auldie Collins, will my collection of road maps and recognition of land marks to Donnie Smith. I, Juanita Collins, will my little yo-yo to Georgia Ellis, hoping she can string him along. I, Lynwood Davis, will my love for Mr. Preston to his wife. She'll be needing it! I, Phyllis Davis, have nothing to leave--so l'll just leave. I, Georgia Dean, will the zipper on my notebook to Penrod Collins if someone will help me sew it on his big mouth. ' l I, Beverly Edwards Cline, will my developed intelligence on How to Snare a Sucker to Deleana May. I, Frank Ellis, will my MILLION DOLLAR brain to anyone who thinks he can earn a PENNY with it. 1, Thelma Faye Ellis, will any brains that I failed to use in Chemistry, Algebra, and Geometry to Lowell Phipps. I, Jim Blake Hatfield, will the mustache I was supposed to get from Fred Owens to Kenton Snodgrass and Harold Noe. I, Jack Jackson, will my dancing ability to Namon Mounts so that he will be able to '-waltz through his future classes. 1, Jean Justice, will my dignity to the eight grade boys--they can use it. I, Larry Justice, leave the meaning of my last name to Mr. Phipps with the hope that he will remember it well in the years to come.
