Class History On September 4 1957 sixty fixe carefree and green Freshmen boarded the Gibsonyille High School Ship for the faraway port of Knowledge Vale soon realized that there were on board more experienced seamen Sophomores luniors 1nd Seniors they called themselx es Because we had so many members, we had to organize tvyo classes and choose two presidents Mrs Madrens home room chose Boyd brteson and Mrs Ganes home room Edward Curtis Later in the year Edward resigned and Peggie May was elected When the summons to sports was heard a few months later, a large unmber of our boys and girls went out for athletics but not many of them made the team For entertainment we enyoyed seyeral hayrides, mener roasts, and parties Under the entered on une D 1957 the port of Freshman Vacation 1 happier and vtiser crew After three months of rest, we boarded our ship again and organized two Sophomore classes Under the leadership of Mrs I H Vickery lr and Mr DOL1gllS Dickerson, we chose Virginia Wooten and jerry Madren as presidents This year we xy ere very actiye in athletics and many of the boys and girls earned their letters Also, we joined more clubs Organizing the Student Council was the highlight of this yoyage Our class took an actiye part in this The seeretiry sms thosen from our group After our ship had remained in the port of Sophomore Vleation for three months I a -: , I i , v 4 V . , I lv 4 yL , . .
