SEN IORS NOT FINISHED, JUST BEGUN This is the end, said the student standing inside the en- trance door. School 's out, finished. I'm a graduate-no teach- ers, bells, or books anymore. I've worked hard, now I'm tired. I've finished my great task. I've come a long, long way. Yes, I've done all they asked. The student pushed open the door and heaved a weary sigh. He blinked at the dazzling sunlight, the brilliant, beautiful sky. He felt powerless, insignificant. His soul filled with trembling fear. The future which had seemed far away was in- conceivably, uncomfortably near. Suddenly- The wind howled, wild and wicked. What's this storm? the student said. Lightning darted across the sky. The future fell heavily on his head. The world grew dark and ugly. Evil sprouted from tiny seeds. War and death and destruction showed forth endless, dishonorable deeds. Again lightning streaked across the sky shattering barriers of unhappiness. Bright rays streamed through an opening, bringing victory and success. As the future opens, each day we meet with battles lost or battles won, But- we're not finished, we've just begun.
