DETERMINE TO SUCCEED Robed in white and blue we stand, Chins set as high as our youthful aims. Leaving behind the familiar lands Of parties, dances, and basketball games. No more the familiar ring of the bell That sends us off to another class. No more the exciting football yell Of loyal voices for a forward pass. We leave behind the noisy sounds Of pep rallies, band, and study hall. We step into the noisier bounds Of an atomic world grown strong and tall. We enter this world to form new lives And to build our homes in future years. We'l1 fill them with the love that survives All trouble, hurt, disappointment, and tears. We may become people of richness and wealth. We may become scientists and blow the world wide. We may be the doctors who'll save someone's health We may become parents with love, hope, and pride.
