Wells For more than two decades a man of native intelligence and shrewd insight has given generously of a simple strength, huge tolerance, and a dedicated loyalty. His mind has turned over our school's and children's problems in all four seasons even as he has guided his plow turning the neat furrows of his land. Perhaps he stops to ponder an aspect of educating our youth as he smiles at the gulls following him. A big, quiet man, not given to quick speech, he brings old fashioned ideals to a modern school system and makes them fit. The debt we owe him and all his kind is too large for payment, but at least we can recognize and publicly acknowledge that there is a debt. So long as men with his qualities sit on the school boards of our nation, we remain confident that we will win the race between education and catastrophe. We dedicate this 1956 Viking to you, Mr. Lawrence Reinhard, for your steadfast service as clerk of our school board. 6 DEDICATIO
