V JY Gibraltar s Mlshieot Gibraltar 6 Brussels ,'5- - Gibraltar 9 Sevastopol Gibraltar won their wa-y through the Sturgeon Bay District Tournament by downing Sturgeon Bay in the opener 5 to 2 and slipping by the old rival Sevastopol in the finals 4 to 2. Schram was the winner in the first, and Moegenburg set Sevastopol down with 4 hits to win the championship game. The Vikings were.then assigned to the Kiniberly Regional Tournament and received Brillion in the first round with Kimberly and East DePere meeting in the other opener. Moegenburg had to be called in to relieve Schram early in the game and was credited the winner, when Orville Shine smashed a homer to the center field fence with two on to win 5 to 4. Kimberly ran over East DePere 11 to 6 to advance to the finals. The championship game, played under the lights, was a tight battle until the fourth frame when the double duty began to tell on Moegenburg and the Paper Makers ran up 5 runs in one inning, and smashed in b more in the final frame to win easily 14 to 3. Schram was top batter for Gibraltar get- ting 5 for 4. Moegenburg was top hitter with 18 for 37 trips for .486, followed by Kaczmarek .593, and Schram's .582. In fielding, Orsted led with a percentage of .984 followed by Moegenburg with .970, LeMere .9324 and Strege .929. In the pitching department, Moegenburg won '7 and lost 1, Schram 'lon 2 and lost 01 and Goss and Strege each won 1 and lost 0.
