This was something new, but we decided to take over the school until the upper-classmen nshowed us to our corners.U Those first weeks of school were nerve-racking for when looking for the study hall, we invariably landed in the library. One bright day in October a weird voice was heard. 'Everyone report in the gym!! showed This is initiation day.' The dayllost its sunshine, but we our fellow students that we could take it on the chin. Then in the early spring, we gathered courage to survive the exams and we passed A with flying colors as all true Vikings do. And what a reward! three-month vacation. SCHOOL yE,4R 1944-M45 Autumn 1944, found us rattling along on the bus once more, and our destination--Gibraltar. But that year we were more sure of ourselves because it was our turn to take revenge on the Freshmen. To further show our courage, we gave a dance after a basketball game for the students and alumni. Thus ended another year and more exams. 5C,90oL. ygflg 1745 -1746 As Juniors, we came to school, an ambitious, mischievous class as- suring ourselves that we would do great things for the school and be a credit to our parents and teachers. In larch we started planning for the Junior Prom. OUR PROM was to be a bigger and better affair than previous classes of Juniors had produced. In our opinion, IT IAS THE BEST PROM. The gym was decorated as a Dutch scene and Bault's Canadian Orchestra furnished excellent music for dancing. Most of the Juniors received class rings. A few members of the class grad- uated at the end of the year, but the rest of us struggled on for the fourth school term. SCHOOL. ,VE,4R 1741,-!747 Now here we are--great, big, smart seniors. nwell we are seniorsl' This school year just ending was very eventful. le gave a class play entitled 'Almost Eighteen', which was a great success. The senior class banquet on May 22 was followed by a short program. However, the biggest day is still ahead, lay 29-COHMENCEMENT. Then we till walk down the isle with one common thought, 'High school days are the best days of your life.
