Gibbs' Choral Department has grown in size to become the second largest in the state. The ensembles are among the most active and spirited organizations in the school. Each member puts forth a special effort to make his group work, and the dedication shows in the quality of performance. Under the direction of Steven Bayless and Peggy Buescher, choir members produced 4 major shows this year. ln the fall, choir and drama members performed numbers from Broadway musicals in a show called Almost Anything Goes . , . Broadway. The traditional Christmas Concert and Spring Spectacular were held again in the auditorium. The drama and choir departments combined in the spring to produce an exciting musical comedy entitled The Pajama Game. ln addition to these productions, Centurion and Girls' Ensemble members performed at many civic clubs, churches, and other organizations during the year and at Christmastime.
