This gave us a group of twenty four Mrs Wrede gladly passed us on to M1ss Kay D1er who accepted us but not with haste. By this time we had bade farewell to Thomas Edmonds and Colleen Mathews and welcomed Barbara Roberson Nancy Kennell James McPeck and Jams Rasmussen Th1S gave us a total of twenty six Miss Chramosta was the next to be favored with our presence To get our group of twenty eight we gained Franc1s Figueroa Margene Myers Carolyn Torske Geraldine Lathan Sh.1r1eyRoos, Anne Wilson Ronald Daily and David Castaneda To match this gain we lost Erick Ashburn Jane Power John Power Barbara Roberson Nancy Kennell and James McPeck Our years were passing fast and we were now fourth graders Mrs Bosse was our next victim This year we lost Barbara Cline James Cline, Ronald Daily and David Castaneda and were favored with Roger Gorman s entrance leaving us twenty five students The fifth grade was speclal because the room was on the second floor We found that those added Haggeman. From this position she watched Ronald Daily David Castaneda Tw1la Sickler Barbara Cline and James Cline climb the sta1rs for the f1rst time and watched Roger Gorman descend the stairs for the last time Mrs Ice was at the door to welcome twenty eight into the sixth grade but we left with only twenty six We arrived at the number by losing Francis Figueroa Geraldine Lathan Sandra Webb Ronald Daily and Twila Stckler and gairung Sonya Aldrich Howard Brayton and Thomas Darling Our seventh grade was the most mixed up of them all We had three teachers tlus year beginning with Mr McCal1ester and end1ng w1th Mr Bell Along w1th the teachers we lost Howard Brayton, Steven Odell and Patricia Patterson and ga1ned Ronald Goesch Marie Koztsek Jane Power John Power and Donald Carpenter This left twenty eight in our class Twenty seven bright eyed grown up men and women f1n1shed their last year of grade school To share our enthuslasm we f1nd James Stearley and Leonard Kubik but lost David Castaneda Ronald Goesch and Barbara Wtebold We owe much to Mrs Zlmmerman for the gutdance she gave us in preparing for high school With the memories of those we lost and for the honor of those we gained we awaited the following years Contrary to the entrance into kindergarten eight years ago the twenty seven shy youngsters have increased in number to forty one and are now self confident mature individuals They include from the eighth grade Alta Albln Sonya Aldrich James Anderson Donald Carpenter Sharon Clark Barbara Cllne James Cline Patr1c1aCoon Thomas Darling Lorra1neDeBr1e Shirley Donaldson Bradley Dwiggins Rose Garcia Nancy Guthrie Thats Guthrie Mane Kozlsek Arturo Martinez Margene Myers Jane Power stairs didn't help our grades any, though.
