Dirtinguished Teacher 1 966- 1 96 7 We, the graduating class of 1967, are very proud to honor a teacher who has not only added much to our education, but with her patience, understanding, and guidance has enriched the quality of our school for many years. Miss Edith Arnold has taught at Gettysburg for thirty years, serving in the capacity of first grade teacher until last year when she became instructor of the new reading program. Dedicated to her work, Miss Arnold continually strives to better herself and her teaching methods out of a deep sense of responsibility for each of her students. As a class, we would like to thank you, Miss Arnold, for contributing to the basic factors in our education: and, perhaps most important, for showing us through the years that life is not receiving, but that it is a giving of one's self.
