X dass Pwplwog Welcome everyone! Tonight we-are glad to honor the graduates of the great Class of 1966 to the 1991 Homecoming of Gettysburg High School. We are proud tonight to have with us one of the outstanding members of this class as our speaker. As Postmaster General, this man delivered the invitations per- sonally in his private plane. He will relate to us the ordeal he went through. At this time I would like to introduce to you the flying Postmaster General, Gary Gessler. Thank you very much. My first trip took me to Manchester College to present the first invitation to Dean Deborah Ann Maurer, the first woman to attain this coveted office: I learned hom her that our near- est classmate was at Indianapolis. There I found Gary Hill preparing his car for the 500 . He didn't seem to be able to get it started. Could it be that he has locked the keys inside again? I asked Gary where I could find his sister. I had no idea I would have to fly to Dayton but there she was. Yes, the head cook at Suttmillexs. Doesn't she know that is no way to lose weight? For my next invitation, I had to fly to Nome, Alaska. Carol Kissinger and Kathy Paulus have formed a team and are nursing the Eskimos in Sailor uniforms. They always did seem to like those outfits. To my great surprise, I found Ron Grilliot there. He finally is an ambitious engineer working on the Alaskan Railway. I didn't know that you needed to go to U.C. to be that type of engineer. After flying back through Canada, I encountered Linda Riegle who was enthusiastically engaged in her life work--giving away hobby horses to culturally deprived children. When I got to New York, I slipped away for an evening to visit the fabulous Yellow Bearcat Club. The proprietor, Dennis Wetzel was kind enough to provide a front row seat for the floor show. I was never so shocked in my lifel Would you believe that Linda Bixler was his star bunny ? Neither did I! Before leaving I hopped over to Raikes Tire Supply Center. By the way Ron, do you know what ply plane tires are? My next trip took me to the South. I had heard that Charlotte Beisner was going to give a speech in Birmingham, Alabama. By the time I got there, there was a mass riot. I understood that the whites got mad when she tried to explain that they were only a light shade of brown. My next stop was to see Ron Sprenkel. It seems that he has gone into business for himself. He is now head of the Sprenkel Krinkel Pretzel Company. Just keep it legal. No sidelines--if you know what I mean. On my way out of his office I noticed someone familiar at a typewriter. There sat Brenda Keiser, now a private secretary. This
