The Gettysburg Chapter of the National Honor Society was host to the other Darke County Chapters at the National Honor Society Banquet of 1961. The new members that were inducted into the Honor Society in the spring of 1961 were: Seniors: Karen Holaday, Fred Witwerg Juniors: John Dillon, Alberta Saffing Sophomores: Dianna Beck, Christine Holaday, and Freshmen: Leslie Long, Eva Kluss.
