SENIOR SENTIMENTS X.-XNNIIC IllVELY---'AYa1inie is eager to attend nursing school at University of Pennsylvania. She'll always remember the dance after the 1950 Maroon and White banquet, when she stuck her head under a lamp shade and the light bulb exploded. She despises big whcels and stuck-ups, but Swiss steak. French fries. friendly people, and My Heart Cries For You. please her. She often scoffs, Oh, l did that once! NEIL DOLLY- Dog-gone it! Dolly shouts when he thinks of Ag' class. Neil plans to attend Penn State after graduation and continue the business of farming. He will never forget the good times working in the shop with the Ag' boys. Phys. Ed., wrestling, swimming. and the 3:30 bell delight this senior. DOROTHY FIDLER- Dotty hopes to become a secretary. jumpin' jennies ! yells this hater of home- work. She is a fan of painting, reading, and short- hand, and will always remember her senior year and play practice. CAROLYN lflSCl'fl.- Peg can't forget her first game as cheerleader. Cheerleading, dancing, sports and fried chicken are tops with this future secretary. Gee whiz exclaims Peg as she sees play shoes with socks, bad sportsmanship, and stuck-up people. CHARLES FORD- Ted, lover of sports and women, whose future is undecided, really gets peeved at Buzz. You know, this senior will always re- nienzber his participation in sports, and that meeting of a certain girl-tnow who could that be??J. DONALD GEIMAN- I'll be dog-gone says Don as he sees a girl smoking. Doesn't know yet if he'll join the Air Force and fly into the wild blue yonder or keep on working, but whatever he does he'll never forget his senior year. A girl from Han- over. banana skyscrapers, and fried ham certainly please Don. DONALD GORDON- Homer's just crazy about football games but he surely hates to give speeches. Holy cow, exclaims this potential preacher as he remembers those two years he spent in 202 trying to learn Latin rules. THELMA GREEN-Although her future is still a blank, hillbilly music, horses, the Lone Star State, and long hikes on Sunday make Thelma smile. Holy cow, but she just can't tolerate loud girls. RICHARD GUISE-- Holy crumb, exclaiins this future college man, as his dad refuses to give him- the car. Guess Dick never will forget his senior year and how he spent lots of time cruising around. Ialone?? now, Dickl RONALD GUISE- Ronnie, who plans to be a forest ranger, is fond of pretty women and ice cream. lYhen heard exclaiming Holy cow! he is probably thinking of all the fun he had in history class. Ronnie is especially fond of driving around in his Ford. DONNA HAMMERS-- Donna, whose future is still undecided, will never get over attending those Maroon and White banquets. She is particularly fond of football games, hamburgers and hot chocolate, but, Oh, my heavens! she can't bear stuck-up people. WALTER HAMMOND- Holy cow, remarks Walt when he is quizzed about his future-who knows?? Can't forget his first day in G.H.S. Walt hates too much homework, but never complains about girls. tall of them??I DORIS HANN-This future secretary still re- members the thrill of being chosen as a inajorette. That's all right remarks Doris, for while she likes dancing with the gang at Woodlawn, shoe-string potatoes, sports, and banana splits. she just can't stand stuck-up people. DORIS HARTZEL-Here's another secretary! Holy cow! exclaims Doris when she thinks of French fries. sports. music, and fried chicken. Doris ftlfll' fllirly tells us she'll always remember making the honor roll in her senior year. JOAN HARTZELI.-- ,loani'e received her big- gest thrill when she got into the Mask and VVig club. Jemeny pats! remarks this future Florence Nightin- gale when she sees high heels and socks. ,loanic-'s wild about traveling and that certain somebody. TED HAY, JR.- Ted is planning to attend col- lege-possibly at Gettysburg. Holy heck l but those out-of-town games attended by the band on buses were full of fun! Dance bands, photography, and girls make Ted happy. but he frowns upon cowboys with cars. ROY HEINTZELMAN-The Air Corps beckons to Heintz, who states that he'll never forget history class. Holy cats! remarks this senior when the dis- covers a girl or boy smoking. As a rule though, sports and girls make Heintz's face light up. MARTHA HEMLER- Martha's future is un- decided. but she does know that people who think they're so mnch better than others peeve her. Still, give Martha an exciting football game and she's happy. DALE HOFFMAN-It's off to the Navy for Buzz, hut wherever he is, he'll always remember those exciting Chambersburg games. VVise people bring the same expression to Buzz's lips- VVise guy l while crab cakes and shrimp never fail to please him. PEGGY JO HOKE- Peggy jo is planning to attend a state teachers' college. She still remembers her first year in G.H.S., and says she hates being so darned tall. You'd be surprised at all the things Peggy Jo likes: chocolate milk shakes, cheeseburgers. and that certain person from New York. CARL KELLER-This future farmer can't forget his history class. Girls and his '41 Chrysler really please him, but Gee whiz! English gets Carl down. GERALD KELLER--This fan of basketball, base- ball, and girls will never forget those Hanover games. Keller plans to undertake construction work when he graduates. BARBARA IQICNNELI.-l'Barbara is still unde- cided as to what the future will bring her way. Darn it! exclaims Barbara, when boys are kept out of her reach. Hiking on Sundays, hamburgers, and hot choco- late are big hits with this senior girl. GEORGE KENNELL-Uncle Sam's Army is call- ing George. Holy smokes! but history class was fun. George despises cowboys with cars but can always get excited over sports and pep meetings. VERNON KEPNER- What do you think? characterizes Smiley, who is planning to work at home after graduation. Smiley will always remember the assemblies held in G.H.S. and he hopes that speeches are outlawed and longer vacations are granted to future students. BARBARA KETTERMAN-- Geeminy buckets I but pokey underclassmen peeve Barb, This future medical secretary always got a thrill out of going to away games on buses. Want to see Barb smile? just mention holidays or ask her about her senior year. MARY LARMER-This lover of art, travel, and square dances can't decide about her future. Are you kidding? exclaims Mary as she hears her senior year at G.H.S. being mentioned. Did you know that conceited people and reckless drivers really irk Mary? BETTY LAZOS-Another secretary in our midst! Bette especially remembers the time she was a half second late for home room. Excuse me-I lost my head. remarks Bette, and she still does over dancing, French fries, and brown curly hair. NANCY LEE- Nancy, planning to be a stenog- rapher, cries, Gee whiz I when she recalls her struggle to master Spanish. Sophisticated people make Nancy frown, but banana splits. fried chicken. and bowling please her.
