SENIOR SENTIMENTS ARTHUR AIKIN-- Art, who is planning to at- tend college, will always remember narrating the song Lincoln's Gettysburg Address, when it was sung by the school choir. That is a matter of opinion, Art proclaims while in the company of procrastinators. He gets much pleasure from working the lights for plays. GABRIEL ANDROSCKO-Latvia's gift to G.H.S. wishes to make farming his career. Dumcoff, he shouts when seeing a girl smoke. The whole senior year will always be remembered by this fellow who enjoys playing ping-pong. HAROLD ANGELL- Hop has nothing definite planned for his future, but he really goes for football and basketball. Girls who swear and snobs rate low with him. He often replies Go get him,- - -l ARLENE ARENDT- Oh! I could've died, ex- claims Reds when she thinks about the time she tripped over her own feet and went tumbling down the steps leading to the cafeteria. This future telephone operator adores fried chicken, football games, movies. and Bing Crosby. RICHARD ARNDT- Dick is still hazy about his future plans. Sleeping in classes is this guy's favorite pastime and when asked for an explanation, he will reply, I don't know. RICHARD ARMISTEAD-This photographer always turns his back to stuck-up girls. Dick has not yet made definite plans concerning his future. He remembers with much pleasure the time he received a letter for track. JOHN AUGUSTINE- Jack has planned to at- tend college after graduation, probably Gettysburg College. This lad, who detests people who can't laugh, often expresses himself by exclaiming, Yeah? or Come on I He is exceedingly fond of laughing, hunt- ing, acting, and eating crab cakes. JOHN AYRE- That's O.K., boy, mutters John, who will never forget the time he was selected as a co-sports editor of the Maroon and White. People who brag just don't rate with this senior. who likes girls, sports, and mechanics. Entering a diesel school is John's future ambition. ALBERT BACHMAN-Classical music and travel- ing interest this fellow. His plans point to college life. Al objects to getting out of bed in the morning and is often heard exclaiming, For Pete's sake. DIANE BAIRD- Bairdie has her heart set on becoming an elementary teacher. When she says, Oh, my word! she is probably referring to stuck-up people and big wheels. Diane favors dancing, and loves eating steak and mashed potatoes. JIM BARLUP- Jim shuns all stuck-up people and girls who smoke. This future farmer, who will always remember starting his senior year, delights in hunting and eating French fries and hamburgers. JACK BARTLETT-This future sailor will re- member l950-Sl. He often exclaims, You mean me? when asked a question. Ice cream is tops on Hreu s list, but stuck-up girls appear at the bottom. GLORIA BIESECKER- Gloria is planning to become a woman in white in the near future. She recalls her sophomore year when the band went to Mechanicsburg??? Honest to Pete. she ejaculates when Prof. springs a chemistry test. A certain blonde. good looks, and cold fudge sundaes please her, but she despises girls who flirt. GUY BISHOP- I'll be dog-gone, mutters Gootch as he recalls the day he was caught sneak- ing in a window. This future mechanic detests girls who smoke. His favorite pastime is running around with the gang. ' JEANNE BUCHER-This girl prefers hamburg- ers and French fries. baseball games, and popular music. Jeanne, who is planning to become a secre- Ptlllt' lZt'Cf'I'1' tary, recalls with pleasure the study hall of her sopho- more year. She shuns all show-offs. I guess, if you say so, mutters this gal. RAINGER BUEHLER- Rainger enjoyed play- ing the drums in the high school band, but often dreamed of smaller assignments. Well gee whiz, he exclaims whenever he is called to the oliice. The Navy beckons to this senior after graduation. KENNETH BUPP-Playing any athletic sport and attending lyceum programs are Buppy's favor- ites. This bat slinger, who is undecided about his fu- ture, dreads fussy teachers. MARY LOUISE BUPP- Are you kidding? is her favorite expression. This whiz at shorthand dicta- tion plans to become a stenographer. She loves steak, popular music, basketball games. and bowling, but peo- ple who brag rate very low with this senior. JANET CAREY- Holy buckets! mutters Jan when she spies people wearing socks with play shoes. This future secretary or typist, who especially re- members the band trips and gym classes, loves eating chili con carne. MARY CLAPSADDLE-Through a crystal ball Trixie can visualize taking dictation. Holy heavens! she exclaims when she meets stuck-up people and has to do homework. This senior, who likes swimming and a variety in clothing, will always re- member her study hall in the auditorium. RICHARD CLARK--After graduating and serv- ing time in the Navy, Rich plans to build a house and settle down. Oh my gosh, but he likes milk, hunting, airplanes, and a certain girl. He will never forget the time he won a blue ribbon in a track meet: but he tries to forget about girls who Hirt. WILLIAM CODORI- Willie plans to spend his future in the service. Come on! he yells to the gang when he starts pushing a small car around the park- ing lot. His pet peeve is teachers who make him write out all his assignments. GUY CRIST- Guy, who is still undecided about plans in the future. will always remember his first day in high school. He despises doing a large amount of homework, but likes all sports and lots of ice cream. JAY CROUSE-This future farmer will never for- get how excited he was when he played in his first football game. Jay, who often replies That's a gooder one, likes almost any type of sport. WILBUR DANNER- You don't know, do you ? asks Bud, our future farmer. His most memorable experience in G.H.S. was the time he ran the hurdles in a track meet. Stuck-up girls and essay writing have no trouble reaching the bottom of his list, but ice cream and football games really rate tops. HILDA DEATHERAGE- Hildie plans to be- come a nurse and then later plans to get married. Oh my-Gee Whiz! she swoons when she notices crew cuts and blond hair. She is partial to tuna fish salad. hamburgers, and milk, but loathes snobs. DORIS DECKERT-Our future secretary often asks, Who said that? Doris fancies banana splits, shoe strings, and sports: despises high hats and home- work. EUGENE DAVIS-After graduation, Soapy plans to settle down. VVell l'll be . . . he doesn't un- derstand how he started that fire in chemistry class. He hates women who don't mean what they say, and a gang without money. But he likes the 1951 class and a Plymouth convertible. LOUISE DeHAAS-She hopes to attend nursing school at the University of Pennsylvania, and says she'll never get over being made Co-feature Editor of the Maroon and White. Ever hear someone exclaim- ing, Seach mc? That's Lou. She loves steaks with French fries but loathes high heels with socks.
