TO TI-IE CLASS OF 1946: As a guide to living and serving in a world sorely in need of the best all can give, I commend to you these words from the notebook of Elbert Hubbard. The Supreme prayer of my heart is not to be learned, rich, famous, powerful, or even good, but simply to be radiant. I desire to radiate health, cheer- fulness, calm courage and good-will. I wish to live without hate, whim, jealousy, envy, fear. I wish to be simple, honest, frank, natural, clean in mind and clean in body, unaffected, and to meet all men in an absolute equality, to face any obstacle and meet every difficulty unabashed and unafraid. L. C. KEEFAUVER Superintendent of Schools MR. Gurus W. LEFEVER r 1 X. DR. LLOYD C. KEEFAUVER TO THE CLASS OF 1646: No people in the world today have as much to be thankful for as the American youth about to graduate from the public high school. He has the opportunity to help build a world community with common understanding, common ideas, and common ideals. He will help restore the good and right which peoples must believe in and practice if we are to have a Democracy that will survive. The opportunity to work and develop is here for you. G. W. LEFEVER Principal IEYCU
