THE CLASS OF 1940 Seniors, we,re but freshmen Entering the school of life Bucking up against the task Of overcoming strife. Were one of many classes With little experience too But We'll gain recognition By the things we do. Some of us to collegesg To secondary schools may go Others into life must enter Reaping what they sow. For life's not full of joy, Nor running o'er with Woe! But We'll meet the woes and joys As We come and go. So when we doff our caps and gowns And in life take our places, We'll buckle down, not with frowns, But smiles upon our faces.
