18 Many of us came here as little innocents, leaving the shelter and security of our family and friends for the first time. We came here seeking what we were told were to be, che best years of our life . Arriving to college to meet our first friend, our roommate, that we had been paired with based on a few items that we checked off on a tiny piece of paper. Through this, we learned to accept peo- ple who are dif- ferent from our- selves and to learn from them. After fresh- man year. many of these friend- ships ended and, after peo- ple found their new niche at Gettysburg, but many of them lasted to survive the four year test of time at Gettysburg Col- lege. We have created some of the strongest ties we have ever known, only to realize that at the end of the four years many of us will never see each other again. Therefore, entering the infamous Senior Year, we are torn between 'tliving-up our last , r17? wwwmwv--v-- - F , ' Dawn Hadley makes a toast. h Santa, Mark Youndt has great difficulty drinking with his long beard, year together, or to study and look for a job in the real world. The carefree days with nothing more to worry about than what to wear out, or how to arrange your schedule to allow for maximum sleep time, or to be able to watch your favorite soap opera are over. Instead we live in fear of working 9 to 5.
