Superb down- field blocking by Captain John Camus and Fer- nando Storch paved the way. GESU 0 STS. PETER and PAUL 24- The rampaging Panthers of the Catholic High School showed their speed and finesse that made DEFENSIVE TEAM them S. E. F. C. C. Although the Crusaders fought hard and showed great spirit the breaks were just all against the Purple and White. GESU 0 ST. MARY'S 12 The knights of the down-town school just couldn't break out of their scoring slump. The Corsairs put over two hard earned touchdowns late in the last quarter, and held the Gesuan's at bay. Led by Joe Garvin, one of our outstanding sharp shooters, Ferdie Storch, speedy forward, Lowell Balthaser, great ball hawk, John Camus, top defen- sive man, Bill Wells crack center and rebound ar- tist and Dickie Clough, our smooth ball handler the Crusaders went through another fine season, downing everyone in the league except St. Anthony and breaking even with some powerful public schools, although the loss of three all conference players hurt the knights immensely. But the Cru- saders, well known for their determination, made them feared once again in the Catholic Conference. The xarsity this year was comprised of Dickie Clough Joe Garvin, Billy Wells, Fernando Storch. Johnny Camus John Matson Floyd Brumby and Jimmie Morris Seniors.
