GOLF BA TTER Y 3 12 Field Artillery is the king of battle. Its sole purpose for existence is to support the infantry. To accomplish this task, the mission of field artillery is threefold: A) To provide close and continuous fire support to maneuver elements by neutralizing, destroying, or suppressing those targets which are a threat to the support unit. B) To give depth tocombat by attacking hos- tile reserves, restricting movement, providing long range sup- port for reconnaissance elements, and disrupting command systems and other installations. C) To achieve and maintain fire superiority over enemy indirect fire delivery means. •- ' ' S iti ' iViSX ' X ' ;. - CAPTAIN FONDOW BATTERY COMMANDER 1st LT SNOW EXECUTIVE OFFICER 1st SGT WARNER BATTERY FIRST SERGEANT 1 ; :- !
