The Galaxies The Junior Classical League 237' The Junior Classical League The Junior Classical League was comprised of students who studied the venerable Latin language, the language of the ancient, catholic religions. Interested in widening their knowledge of the old realms of Latin, the club investigated the government, laws, literature, language, and art of ancient Rome. The sponsor of the club is Mrs. Jeter. The club participates in the National Ex- change Program by sending many Germantown students to France, and they accept many French students to the 0.8. The club has a get-acquainted picnic as well as many money making projects throughout the year like selling donuts and holding slave auctions. They held a Christmas party, a Mardi-Gras party, as well as an end of the year din- ner at a French restaurant. The French Club is indebted to its sponsors for the continuing success of the club.

They have supported the Germantown Fine Arts Department, The Porter-Leeth Home, The Germantown Charity Horse Show, and the Cagliano Run. Interact, a branch of the Rotary Club, promotes leadership and com- munity service.
