??I'Vf' ' F-A- The Galaxies The Gaiaxies The Beta Club The Germantown High School Beta Club is an honorary service club open to sophomores, juniors, and seniors. The purpose of the club is to render service to the school and to the community. Each member must earn a certain number of service points to stay in the club. The Beta Club has been extremely active this year. Under the direction of outstanding officers and three enthusiastic sponsors tMs. Carlton, Ms. Carruthers, and Ms. Harmoni, the club has undertaken at least one project every month, and has met with one success after another. So far, they have held a free car wash, visited Saint Frances Hospital in costume during Halloween, contributed to the iiRossville Project, adopted a family for Christmas, hung wreaths up at Hillhaven Nursing Home, and held their annual induction ceremony, initiating 54 new members out of 125 applicants. The members were chosen based on academics, service, character, and leadership.
