The Hoe-Downs The Sophomore class of 1981 chose Susan Adams, Emmit Whitaker and Julie Schwartz for class favorites. Susan showed outstanding leader- ship as president of her class for the past two years. She was always ready to devote her time to the Sophomore class. Emmit's vibrant personality was an asset in his ability to get along well with others. He made a great contribution to the football team, and helped the team to victory. Julie was always ready to welcome newcomers at G'town. She had an abundance of school spirit. These three showed excellent leadership and school involvement. Robyn Joyner and Marshall Boswell were chosen as 1981 Freshman class favorites. Robyn led her class to victory in many ways, as a Freshman cheer- leader and as an enthusiastic participant in school activities. Marshall was found on the football field where he showed his spirit for the Freshman Class as well as Germantown High School. Both will be remembered for their devoted friendship to the Freshman Class. 73

The Hoe-Downs Class The senior class of 1981 chose Bruce Judy and Gloria Vaught as its class favorites. They showed the outstanding leadership they possessed which led our school to victories in many fields. The smiles on their faces were enough to brighten anyone's day. Bruce was either found on the basketball court or singing a solo during the Thanksgiving program. Gloria's contributions to our school were either seen while she was cheering the football team to state play-offs or participating and placing in Junior Miss. Both were important assets to our school. David Cantu and Linda Street were chosen as the Junior Class Favorites for 1981. These two were chosen because their devotion to this school was cherished by many. David was seen on the football field demolishing the opponents or threatening Santa Claus in the Pitchfork, while Linda was always in the stands leading our team to victory or making a stranger feel at home in the halls of GHS. Both of these juniors were leaders who devoted themselves to supporting our school. 72
